Industrial defects prevention platform
Project Background
“Prevention is better than cure” is a proverb that finds its meaning both at the personal level and that of industrial companies.
Indeed, by investing millions in advanced equipments and industrial installations, it is important to prevent breakdowns rather than repair them since an interruption in the production chain, even brief, can greatly penalize companies.
It is in this context that we were contacted by a consulting firm in energy installations in order to create a web application to prevent breakdowns for their industrial customers.
How it works
The application collects a set of data related to the state of the technical installations from the industrial technical department through a secure graphical interface.
Once the data is saved, the application executes the analysis logic which, while correlating the data entered, detects the abnormal rates and issues recommendations to bring them back to their usual values.
These recommendations will be addressed first to the consulting firm expert in order to validate the automatic analysis or make any eventual adjustments. Once the diagnosis is validated, it will be transformed into a pdf report sent by e-mail to the customer's industrial department.
Thanks to this approach, the delays for prevention procedures have been remarkably reduced, thus making it possible to respond effectively to the recommendations issued. Data historization also makes it possible to carry out studies on the performance of different equipment.
